Embrace Every Phase of Your Life and Shine Like the Moon
The moon’s rhythm reflects our own. She begins in stillness, grows into her light, radiates at her fullest, then releases what no longer serves her before resting again. Each stage has a lesson. Sometimes we’re in our New Moon, pulled inward to rest. Other times we’re in our Full Moon, ready to shine boldly. And even when life feels dim, we are still completely just moving through our natural cycle.
Have you ever stepped outside on a quiet night and looked up, only to be stunned by the glow of the moon? Magical, isn’t it? The way it lights up your path feels like a spotlight aimed just for you, reminding you this is your time to shine.
But then, there are other nights. Darker ones. The moon is hidden, the sky is still, and only a handful of stars twinkle above. And yet, that quiet beauty is just as powerful. The truth is, the moon is always whole even when we can’t see all of her. And so are you.
The Moon as a Mirror

A Mama’s Moon Moment
When I became a mom, I tried to do it all: the Pinterest-perfect house, exclusive breastfeeding, spotless floors, meal preps lined like soldiers. I pushed myself to be the glowing Instagram version of motherhood.
Spoiler: it nearly broke me.
One morning, while jogging with my baby’s stroller, I collapsed. I woke up in a hospital bed terrified, asking, Where is my baby? He was safe, but I wasn’t. My doctor told me the truth: I was pushing myself beyond my limits, ignoring my body, and putting us both at risk.
That became my New Moon moment. I had to pause, let myself heal, and accept help. The dishes could wait. The laundry could wait. My health and my son’s safety were what mattered. And strangely enough, once I slowed down, I began to produce more milk, recover better, and feel human again. The moon had taught me: there is strength in rest.
Living by Your Phases
So, how do we embrace our own cycles like the moon?
Be gentle with yourself in the dark phases. They are for reflection, not rushing. Step boldly into your light when it’s your season to shine, without apology. Learn the art of letting go when it’s time, and stay still when life calls for quiet. Like the moon, you don’t owe anyone constant brightness.
Claim Your Glow
The next time you see her in the sky whether as a sliver or in her full brilliance pause. Let her remind you that every phase has beauty, and every stage has purpose. Whisper your name into the night and claim the season you are in right now.
Because you, like the moon, are always enough. Always whole. Always shining whether the world sees it or not.
Tonight, step outside and let her light find you. Root into your phase, embrace it fully, and remember: your glow is never lost. It’s simply waiting for its moment.
